Mohammad Hossein Saliminabi
MASc, BEng, BSc
I am an incoming PhD student in Information Systems at the University of Toronto.
I previously completed a MASc and a BEng in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University, and a BSc in Quantum Physics at the University of Ottawa.
My current research interests lie within neuro-symbolic AI and causality in Large Language Models and Information Retrieval pipelines.
My previous research includes diffusion-based approaches for recommender systems, LLM evaluation, and novel optimization frameworks in neural rankers.
I also have experience with deep learning applications in medical imaging, including brain segmentation, synthetic data generation, and multimodal MRI translation. I’ve also conducted research on mathematical modeling and simulation of temporal and frequency responses of third-order Kerr nonlinearity in optical material and photonics.
